Deacon Ernest F. Salomone, 87, longtime resident of New Rochelle, died on Jan. 12, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Nina, devoted father of Laura Allen and her husband Robert, Steven Salomone and his wife Susan and Christopher Salomone. Dear brother of Louis and the late Jack and Michael Salomone, Cherished grandfather of Zachary Gershman, Adam, Andrew, Dylan and the late Justin Salomone and Anthony and Daniel Salomone. Deacon Ernest served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. In 1975 he was ordained as a Deacon after his studies at St. Joseph's Seminary and has served the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Scarsdale ever since. Ernest and his brothers operated the family Real Estate Business, Salomone and Company in the Bronx started by their father Saverio Salomone.
