Obituary for Anna N. Varvara
Anna N. Varvara, a longtime resident of Eastchester died on January 4, 2017. She was born on March 26, 1917 to the late Carmine and Nicolena (D'Orio) D'Apice. Before her retirement Anna was a Forecaster for Refined Syrups in Yonkers for many years. She is survived by her daughter Nicolyn Varvara, grandchildren, Mrs. Kristin A. May (Christopher), Ms. Amy E. Ausiello, Mr. Robert Varvara, Ms. Jennifer Varvara, and great granddaughter, Olivia N. May. She is also survived by her daughter in-law Janey Varvara. Along with her parents she was predeceased by her husband Peter Varvara Sr. in 2006 and a son Peter Varvara Jr. in 2004.
The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER on Monday January 9 , 2017 from 9 to 10:15 AM. A Mass of Christian burial to follow at St. Joseph's Church, Bronxville at 10:45 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Mount Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hope Community Services 50 Washington Avenue New Rochelle, NY 10801.
