Obituary for Patricia Tavolilla (De Stefano)

It is with great sorrow that, after a courageous battle with cancer, we announce the death of Patricia Ann Tavolilla, 80 on January 2, 2017. She was surrounded by her loving family.
A lifelong, proud resident of Tuckahoe, she was the cherished only child of Pasquale and Theresa (Silano) DeStefano. A graduate of Immaculate Conception School and then of Eastchester High School, Pat worked at Stoffel Seals before marrying her high school sweetheart, Emanuel (Manny) Tavolilla, who predeceased her in 2010 after 54 yrs. of marriage. Always by Manny’s side, she was the backbone of the family and the consummate hostess. Pat will be remembered by all who knew her for her quick wit and ready smile.
A devout Catholic, she took great joy and comfort in her faith, family and friends, many of whom had predeceased her. She will be sorely missed.
Pat is survived by her six adoring children: Lynn (Nicholas) Cristallo, Marybeth (Dominick) Forcello, Susan (Robert) Pizzo, Patty (Tim) Dalton, Crissy (Gordon) Burrows and Manny (Maria Martins) Tavolilla, Jr. She will be mourned by her 11 grandchildren: Lisa (Ray) Rescildo, Nicole (Philip) Neary, Cassie (Sean) Waldron, Steven (Nina) Forcello, David Forcello, Alanna, Grace and Sophia Pizzo, Elizabeth and Patrick Dalton, Tricia Nannariello and her 6 cherished great-grandchildren: Laci Rotta, Ava and Jules Rescildo, Christopher, Olivia and Joseph Neary. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Rose Romeo and Marylou Pagonico and brother-in-law, Patrick Dotoli.
The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 3:00-8:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Tuckahoe. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
